The Treatments Offered at San Diego Vascular Center
Our San Diego varicose and spider vein treatment doctors specialize in using the following innovative treatments:
VNUS Closure
The Venefit™ procedure, formerly known as VNUS closure, is a new, innovative treatment for varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). The procedure targets enlarged varicose veins by using radiofrequency energy to heat and shrink the vein, reducing its appearance and promoting blood flow to other, healthier veins.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a safe, nonsurgical treatment most frequently used as a cosmetic procedure that effectively eliminates unwanted spider veins. As technology has advanced in recent years, sclerotherapy can also be used to eliminate larger varicose veins. The treatment is hailed for being quick, virtually painless, and highly effective.
Endovenous Laser Ablation
Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), known as VenaCure® EVLT, is a minimally invasive procedure that safely and effectively treats varicose veins using targeted laser energy. A laser fiber enters the vein from a tiny incision, applies laser energy, and treats the vein from within. It is a short nonsurgical procedure that involves no general anesthesia and no painful or lengthy period of recovery.
Spider Vein Laser Treatment
Spider vein laser treatment, Vari-Lite™, directly targets unwanted facial spider veins using a beam of light that safely penetrated the skin and destroys vessels. Safe, painless, and highly effective, spider vein laser treatment can provide remarkable results with minimal risks.
Schedule an Appointment to Discuss Your Treatment Options
Before any treatment option or approach is determined, our San Diego vein surgeons make sure to provide you with a comprehensive evaluation in order to determine if there are any underlying health concerns associated with your varicose and/or spider veins. Although we understand that many of our patients wish to remove these unsightly imperfections to improve the look of their skin, we also know that they can signify more serious medical issues.
By conducting a full evaluation, including vascular ultrasound, we can be better equipped with the information needed to create a customized treatment plan that will provide you with the best immediate and long-term results and the most satisfying cosmetic and health benefits.
As treatment will always vary depending on your situation and condition, we encourage you to schedule an appointment to learn more about your available treatment options and the ways in which San Diego Vascular Center can eliminate your unwanted varicose and spider veins. Contact SDVC today.
